I have been playing volleyball for as many years as I have been able to walk. I officially made my first team when I was 11 years old. After high school, I spent six years as an opposite at the University of Louisville.
My high school career began in 2011. At Wolmer's Trust High School for Girls I was a setter, first, then a right-side hitter, and by the time I graduated in 2018, I was an outside hitter.
Club volleyball in Jamaica is very different than club volleyball in the United States. I was always the youngest member of my club team. In the club league, I was a right-side attacker for the UWI Mona Volleyball Club.
I represented Jamaica as a member of the Senior National Team twice in 2017. During the spring, Jamaica hosted a Caribbean tournament where we placed second behind Trinidad and Tobago. Later that year, we traveled to the Dominican Republic to play more Caribbean teams.
Though 2018 was my first year in college, I took a "redshirt" year. I still practiced with the team, and travelled with the team, but I did not participate in games. 2018 was a developmental year for me.
2019 was my first year actually playing college volleyball and was a breakthrough year for the Louisville Cardinals. After a rocky season, we upset the #2 Texas Longhorns in their home gym, becoming the first team in program history to make it to an Elite Eight.
The 2020 season was an unorthodox one due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We made it to the Sweet Sixteen where we lost to the Washington Huskies in the "bubble."
In 2021, the Louisville Cardinals finished the season 32-1. We went undefeated until becoming the first ACC team to make it to a Final Four where we lost to the Wisconsin Badgers in a 5-set thriller.
In 2022, the Louisville Cardinals became the first team from the Atlantic Coast Conference to make it to the national final. We went 32-3, finishing second in the nation after succumbing to the University of Texas Longhorns in the 'ship.
In my final year as a Louisville Cardinal, we made it to our third straight Elite Eight before the season came to a close. This year was by far the year I underwent the most growth as an athlete.
